The Iannis Xenakis Book

The National Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens, Greece (ΕΜΣΤ) asked me to proofread and co-edit their new book on the pioneering composer Iannis Xenakis. Xenakis, who once worked with Le Corbusier, was an avant-garde composer, activist, music theorist, architect, engineer, and mathematician.

The Adidas Spezial Book

In a gallery in East London, adidas launched a star-studded exhibition of rare trainers along with a hardback book. They asked me to edit the book and craft the words of its famous contributors including Noel Gallagher (Oasis), Yohji Yamamoto, Ian Brown (The Stone Roses), and Steve Jones (The Sex Pistols) among others. The book is now a collectors’ item.

The Pleasures of Hackney Road

A few years ago I wrote and illustrated (by hand) The Pleasures of Hackney Road: Five Tales of Wildness and Los Placeres de Hackney Road: Cinco Cuentos de Desenfreno. This limited-edition artist's book provides a bite of escapism during hard times. It is is a collection of five stories about what happens when you move to a new city (London, in this case.) The mood is Oscar Wilde roaming the streets with Aubrey Beardsley. There's an English version and a version in Spanish. The Pleasures of Hackney Road was sold at Frieze Art Fair 2021 in London, at Koenig Books. It’s currently sold at 18 bookshops/ art institutions in Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Los Angeles, Athens, and London.

The Pleasures of Hackney Road can be found at Shakespeare & Company in Paris and Artbook, the Hauser & Wirth gallery bookshop in Los Angeles. In Mexico City, it is currently stocked at Exit La Librería and Casa Bosques. In Spain, it’s available at La Casa Encendida shop, as well as the following bookstores: Desperate Literature, Arrebato Libros, and El Imparcial in Madrid. You can also find it at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona, as well as these bookshops: Documenta, Fatbottom Books, Come In, La Llama, and Universal Comics (Barcelona). In London, it’s stocked at The Broadway Bookshop, Burley Fisher Books, and Gosh! . In Athens, it’s sold at Adad bookshop. It’s currently in its third printing.
